(Gray) Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

So you think you can blog...?

I don't know, but I certainly won't know if I don't try. Every journey starts with a single step, and so here I stand (or sit as the case may be).

My intention is to share with you my time-tested and carefully honed bargain hunting skills: a good buy, how to save on the things you already purchase, and general money saving tips and opportunities.

So...today I share with you my latest foray into home hair coloring. I typically visit my stylist every 12 to 15 weeks for a cut and color, however my recent employment situation change had me looking for a home color kit to tide me over (sorry Amy Lynne--I love you and will return as soon as I can front the cash). My sweet friend Maria who also understands the value of the mighty dollar raved about this non-ammonia, easy-to-use, healthy home hair color called Naturtint. Not only that, the next time I saw her after our discussion she *gave me* a box. So, yesterday with trembling hands I gave it a whirl, and let me tell you it was phenomenal! No stink, indeed easy-to-apply, easy to rinse, and little to no staining (of my forehead, ears, shower curtain, bathroom wall…).

And, because I am lazy and didn't want to go out to the store to have to repurchase it, I learned that Drugstore.com stocks the product line and not only that it is on sale for $11.99 (compare to $17.99 + tax at Whole Foods).

I suggest if you have single process color needs, try this guy out. I don't think you'll be disappointed. And, if you elect to purchase it at Drugstore.com, register at Mrrebates.com and start earning cash back (right now 10% back from Drugstore.com).
